Summer Schedule for Children and Youth
Kindergarten through 5th grade
Monthly Themes:
- June 14, 21, & 28: Multicultural Games - children will learn different games from other cultures.
- July 12, 19, & 26: Wetland studies - Children will have an opportunity to learn about the wetlands in our own MVUUF backyard. They will learn about the animals, plants, and how to conserve our wetlands.
- August 9, 16, & 23: Multicultural Cooking - Children will have the opportunity to cook different dishes from different cultures from around the world!
6th through 12th grade
Teachers for this class will help guide the teens in the "Hunger and Homelessness" curriculum. This curriculum focuses on what it means to be hungry and homeless as well as helping teens decide on a social action activity that will give back to their community.
Junior High Youth Group:
We have a wonderful and active junior high youth group that meets the first Friday of each month here at MVUUF. They begin at 7:30pm and their meeting ends at 9:30. Youth who have just finished grades 6th, 7th, or 8th are welcome to attend!
Children's Choir: This summer children's choir classes begin. This is a sign up only class, so the time to join the children's choir has passed. However, the children's choir will perform at the end of summer during service.
